Buttercup is a new addition to our elementary farm. She is a 2 week old baby Nubian/Nigerian goat that the students and staff are bottle feeding and spoiling rotten until she is big enough to go outside with the other animals. Here she is getting held and loved in the school office. Some of our students thought she needed to hear a story about a goat.

Ag in the classroom...
In 4th grade, we incorporate agriculture into our daily lessons through inquiry and project based learning. This gives our students a hands on approach at solving real world problems. In addition to our greenhouse, we have a chicken coop, goat barn, rabbit hutch and calf/steer barn. We take turns doing chores while learning about and caring for our animals.
